Job Title : Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN General) Location : Grafton, OH 44044 Duration : 6 Months to long term Shift: 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM Onsite: Yes Role & Responsibilities: Deliver care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or licensed physician, dentist, podiatrist, optometrist, or chiropractor in accordance with Ohio Revised Code Section 4723.01(F). Tasks include: Administering oxygen and medications (oral, rectal, topical, IM, and subcutaneous injections). Applying sterile dressings and inserting catheters. Suctioning, wound irrigation, and reinserting gastrostomy tubes. Assisting with dialysis and monitoring hemodialysis equipment. Supporting physicians during physical exams and treatments. Responding to emergencies (e.g., CPR, first aid, patient restraint). Medication & Documentation: Maintain medication accountability and patient medical records. Monitor and document patient conditions and responses to treatment. Prepare reports such as incident logs, medication reports, and care plans. Direct Patient Care & Support: Take vital signs and assist with daily living activities (e.g., hygiene, grooming, repositioning). Administer ointments, drops, and other topical treatments. Arrange medical appointments and accompany patients. Provide and supervise recreational and therapeutic activities based on care plans. Staff Support & Training: Offer orientation and training to support staff (e.g., hospital aides, psychiatric attendants). Guide unlicensed staff in providing basic patient care. Participate in team meetings, staff conferences, and training sessions. Medication & Supply Management. Order and manage medical supplies and medications. Maintain cleanliness and organization of medication areas and nursing stations. Perform clerical tasks such as answering phones and filing documents. Requirement: Valid State of Ohio Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
