Responsibilities
The Pavilion Behavioral Health System includes a 110 bed inpatient hospital, a residential treatment center for youth and a residential addictions treatment program. Outpatient services include partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services, as well as The Pavilion Foundation School, a private day school serving students with learning disabilities and behavior disorders. The Pavilion is located in Champaign, IL, within minutes of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign campus. Website: https://pavilionhospital.com/ The Intake Specialist is a vital part of The Pavilion's team. This is a full time position working 40 hours a week, 3:00pm-11:00pm. This role also requires employees to work every other weekend. Who You Are It's the opportunity to make a difference that drives you. POSITION SUMMARY: Intake Specialists provide short-term assistance to distressed individuals, families, and significant others. People in crisis may seek help directly, or can be referred by others. Purpose is to provide a professional assessment and triage to the most appropriate, least restrictive treatment environment. Each patient and/or family contacting or referred to The Pavilion shall be assessed by an Intake Specialist. A licensed psychiatrist or other physician oversees triage and referral decision. Qualifications Education: Master's in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or closely related field preferred, Bachelor's accepted.
Experience: Preferred 2 years experience in psychological and chemical dependency assessment.
