Job Description
Allied Universal is hiring a Vehicle and Visitor Processing Coordinator. The Vehicle and Visitor Processing Coordinator ensures that all requirements for visitor and vehicle access meet Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), company, and client requirements. The Vehicle and Visitor Processing Coordinator is responsible for needed preparation and maintenance of all required documentation, databases, and reporting of visitor and vehicle access into the Protected Area and Owner Controlled Area of a nuclear facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Facilitate distribution and collection of required information for access program with visitors
- Perform data entry, computer functions, and training updates necessary for management and control of visitor access to the site
- Assist in various duties including pre-outage visitor in-processing activities, attendance at meetings and file preparation
- Verify that all requirements are met according to site procedure for visitors requiring access to the Protected Area of the plant
- Confirm identity and authorization of individuals, vehicles and materials prior to allowing them access to the Protected Area of the nuclear site
- Assigns hand geometry to the Protected/ Vital Area badges as authorized by Access Authorization
- Confirm that individuals are not on industry lists and databases of those who are denied access to other nuclear facilities
- Ensure all visitor and vehicle escort requirements are met, including any requirements for armed security escort due to hazardous materials prior to allowing access to the Protected Area
- Confirm all procedure requirements for processing emergency personnel and vehicles are met prior to allowing access to the Protected Area
- Perform tracking and reporting for related visitor access authorization processes
- Maintain working knowledge of NRC, site specific client and company policies affecting administration of visitor access and badging procedures
- Confirm the identity of each visitor through physical presentation of a recognized identification card issued by a local, State, or Federal government agency that includes a photo or contains physical characteristics of the individual requesting escorted access
- Deny escorted access to any individual who is currently denied access in industry shared data bases
- Verify, sort and store daily operational paperwork
QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience as an Armed Nuclear Security Officer
- Effective oral and written communication skills; able to write informatively, clearly and accurately
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
- Forecasting, predicting skills; able to identify critical issues quickly and accurately
- Active listening skills; able to mediate conflict with tact, diplomacy
- Problem solving skills; able to assess and evaluate situations effectively
- Planning and organizing skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):
- Nuclear security experience involving access authorization, badging, or physical protection
- Experience with Access Authorization programs (NSMART, PADS)
