At Johns Hopkins Hospital, the department is responsible for providing acute care pharmacy services for a diverse population of medical, surgical, oncology, and pediatric patients, with additional services provided within the Johns Hopkins Outpatient Center and affiliated clinics. Within the department, there are 70 acute care and primary care clinical pharmacy specialists as well as 32 general and specialized pharmacy residents. What Awaits You?
Job Summary: This position serves in the Adult Medicine, Emergency, and Surgery Pharmacy Division which provides comprehensive pharmacy services to all adult patients at JHH with the exception of oncology patients. Applicants are preferred to have completed, or be in the process of completing, an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency program or have equivalent experience. This Clinical Pharmacist 1 is responsible for working collaboratively with multidisciplinary health care teams to promote the safe and effective use of medications during the medication order review and verification process as well as addressing clinical pharmacy questions and concerns. Additional responsibilities for the position include: medication management, emergency code response, care coordination, drug information response, and education to students, residents, pharmacists, other health care practitioners and patients and family members. There is not typically a routine rounding component to this position. Qualifications:
Salary Range: Minimum 51.02/hour - Maximum 84.26/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
