We're looking for a detail-driven, proactive Logistics & Truck Fleet Coordinator to assist in our railcar logistics and assist with our commercial truck fleet operations in Aberdeen, SD. If you're passionate about coordinating complex systems, collaborating across departments, and making sure everything runs on time, we want to meet you.

Responsibilities:

Balancing efficiency, safety, and service across both rail and truck transportation.

Rail Operations



  • Track and trace tank and hopper railcars daily to manage facility fleet sizes
  • Coordinate railcar billing, monitor demurrage, and communicate service needs
  • Collaborate with rail companies and internal teams on equipment movement, maintenance, and repairs



Truck Fleet Oversight



  • Investigate accidents and manage compliance with state and federal motor carrier safety regulations
  • Partner with merchandisers to maximize truck fleet utilization and schedule shipments
  • Oversee training programs, budget planning, freight charge verification, and vendor relations (including JJ Keller Consulting Services)
  • Occasional site visits and fleet inspections



Cross-functional Collaboration



  • Act as a liaison between operations, transportation, merchandising, risk management, and HR
  • Support strategic planning and ensure efficient end-to-end transportation processes

Qualifications:




  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field - or equivalent experience


  • Experience:


    • 2+ years in commercial trucking logistics preferred
    • Rail transportation background a strong plus
    • Computers, logistics platforms, rail tracking systems, JJ Keller system



  • Skills:


    • Organized and resourceful multitasker with a strong sense of ownership
    • Excellent communication and decision-making skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Teams, Word)
    • Strong knowledge of transportation regulations and fleet safety
    • Comfortable working independently and collaborating across teams
