Your Role With Us:Create and maintain schedules, complete annual performance reviews, and competency assessments for Technical Pharmacy Staff and Technician Students.Provide immediate feedback to staff on performance and maintain patient care focus.Assess workload and distribution of labor, and assist with prioritization and performance of daily workload.Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standard work, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards.Provide technical expertise and guidance in supervision of staff, and lead through regular staff meetings and/or huddles.Maintain disciplinary documentation and ensure 100% accuracy for Pharmacy department timecards.Develop and implement annual competency measures, training programs, and workflows to manage regulatory requirements.Oversee employee training, evaluate technical performance of pharmacy trainers, and ensure experienced technicians assist with training new employees or students.Collaborate with Manager and department staff to share information, foster staff involvement, and set section goals.Produce regular reports, promote innovative ideas, and monitor section goals.Ensure timely submission and review of Patient Safety Alerts and Performance Improvement Reports, and provide follow-up to assure continuous quality improvement.Maintain equipment records, including Robotics maintenance and repair, and provide timely notification in case of malfunction.Serve as a resource for Pharmacy and Hospital Information systems, ensuring downtime procedures and related materials are current and complete.Total Rewards Offerings: Salem Health's comprehensive benefits package prioritizes your mental and physical health, financial stability, family obligations and professional growth.Relocation assistance available for qualified positionsFull comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plansBasic and voluntary life insuranceShort and long-term disabilityLive Well Wellness ProgramEmployee Assistance Program (EAP) 401(K) retirement plan with employer contributions.Generous paid time off (PTO) accrual and holiday pay Onsite fitness center with 24/7 badge accessEducation assistance programPublic service loan forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer https://studentaid.gov/Food and drink discounts in the cafeteriaImpressive discounts offered by Nike, Adidas, Carhartt and othersBackground/Expertise:National certification through NHA or PTCB required.Current Certified Oregon Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) required.Minimum 3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience; Prior supervisory experience strongly preferred; Prior IV Admixture experience strongly preferred.LEAN Pathways fundamentals, 4SPS, and 5S classes preferred.Strong communication and project management skills; Experience in team process, quality management, and problem-solving.Ability to analyze current methods and processes, look for improvements, and develop reports/recommendations.Ability to detect and investigate problems, make evaluations supported by tangible evidence, and provide consultation to healthcare team members; Strong writing skills.Thorough knowledge of pharmacy principles, techniques, procedures, and safety precautions; Ability to implement performance improvement activities and regulatory standards.Demonstrated ability to provide orientation, training, and continuing education opportunities for team members.Salem Health Hospitals and Clinics is an equal opportunity employer.
