Pay Grade/Pay Range: Minimum: $48,600 - Midpoint: $60,800 (Salaried E7)

Department/Organization: 209314 - Instructional Tech & Academic Serv

Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am to 4:45pm; some work may be required outside of normal work hours

Job Summary: The Instructional Technologist II uses pedagogically sound principles to assist faculty with the integration of technology into instruction to enhance teaching and learning. Collaborates with other academic support professionals to provide instructional technology evaluation, faculty support, and documentation to enhance teaching and learning. Provides consultations with faculty and others in academic areas.

Additional Department Summary: Supports the University's distance education programs by assisting with the development, maintenance, and support of online courses. Provides learning management system (Blackboard Learn/Ultra and Schoology) expertise and guidance to faculty, students, and other instructional design professionals. Provides direct technical support for online course learning management systems to faculty and students through a helpdesk system. Creates and delivers technical training to new staff and faculty.

Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of instructional technology experience; OR master's degree and some instructional technology experience.

Skills and Knowledge: Instructional technology support skills, including troubleshooting problems within a learning management system and other instructional technologies. Strong time management and collaboration skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of Mac and PC systems. Knowledge of learning management systems. Knowledge of online course pedagogy.
