Description
Therapeutic Apheresis Registered Nurses (RNs) will be trained to perform Therapeutic Apheresis procedures (Plasma Exchanges, Red Cell Exchanges, Platelet depletions and Leuko-depletions) on adults and pediatric patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. These apheresis procedures are used to treat approximately 84 different "blood related" diseases such as Sickle Cell Disease, Antibody Mediated Transplant Rejections, Myasthenia Gravis, Guillan-Barre' Syndrome, and Acute Leukocytosis to name a few. Other duties include assisting with department support functions, site maintenance/organization, and quality assurance efforts. Click HERE to learn more about the unit & meet the staff! Shifts: Either 5-8's or 4-10's On-Call Requirement: 4-6 first calls per month which would include the first call weekend every 6-7 weeks.
