Job Summary:
This position is part of the administrative team within Research Animal Resources and Compliance (RARC) that provides support for the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committees (IACUC) at UW-Madison. This position reports to the IACUC Administrator. The incumbent serves as a subject matter expert and provides support and coordination between the 4 IACUCs and RARC veterinary staff, researchers, animal facility staff, and campus compliance staff. The incumbent facilitates and documents IACUC meetings, prepares meeting agendas, minutes and reports, serves on various ad hoc committees and working groups, manages and performs a portion of semi-annual animal facility inspections, manages a portion of protocols in the online protocol system, assists with the development of software enhancements, and participates in training IACUC members. Responsibilities: Compiles and classifies reports, issues notifications, assists with creation and maintenance of manuals and public information; and manages unit administrative documents in support of a specific compliance program to ensure compliance with institutional rules and or laws/regulations.
