- Estimated annual base pay: $90,400.00(minimum) - $113,000.00(midpoint) - $135,600.00(maximum)

Are you ready to make your mark? If you're a Senior Operations Engineer - Launch, we have an exciting opportunity for you. The Senior Operations Engineer (level 3) reports to Technical Leadership and whose focus is performing design and support of moderate to high complexity manufacturing systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers and supporting process improvements. This position works under a moderate to low level of supervision. Independent technical decisions on work are covered by precedents; this position seeks direction/guidance on novel or controversial problems. In addition, this position may participate in project-specific relationship building with Customers, Suppliers, individuals or organizations. What You Will Be Doing
- Leads teams through complex processes and devises innovative approaches to problem-solving.
- Creates cell layouts, drives high-complexity process improvement initiatives using Six Sigma, Lean tools, and DFMA principles.
- Initiates, justifies, and implements advanced capital equipment purchases; leads complex engineering changes and acts as a change agent.
- Represents the company with customers and delivers operations status updates to management.
- Develops and maintains process documentation, updates work orders and leads training efforts to improve process understanding.
- Leads and reports out on VSRL process for assigned PLC projects
- Mentors junior engineers and manufacturing specialists, fostering growth and development within the team.
What We Are Looking For
- US Bachelor's Degree required
- 4+ years of experience in engineering required
- Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC programming, GD&T, DFMA principles, and machinery specifications (electrical, mechanical, hydraulic).
- Solid troubleshooting skills, root cause analysis, and advanced knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and capabilities studies (e.g., Gage R&R).
- Proficiency in reading and understanding electrical/mechanical machine drawings, cell/plant layouts, and utility needs (HVAC, electrical, plumbing).
- Solid project planning skills and knowledge of programming/software tools (e.g., G Code, CNC, PLC) for controls engineering applications.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills, presentation abilities, and advanced technical writing proficiency.
- Works closely with cross functional teams (Product Eng., Quality Eng., NPI, Facilities, and IST based Ops Eng.) to execute program deliverables
- Special process knowledge a plus. This includes EB/Laser Welding, Laser Part Marking, Furnace Heat Treating, Tig Welding, Flow Testing, Furnace Braze, and EDM.
