THE VALUE YOU'LL BRING: The Supply Chain team is looking for our next motivated professional to facilitate the distribution of Smithfield's great products to customers and consumers. As the Supply Chain Analyst, you will analyze production metrics against market needs in Supply & Demand Planning, focus on product transportation through Logistics, and ensure the shelves of your local grocery store are stocked by Direct Store Delivery. You will be responsible for actively supporting company goals in the analysis of business operations that minimize company cost, maximize process efficiencies, and improve the customer experience with Smithfield. Cross-Departmental Communication: You will engage in cross-departmental communication to support continuous supply chain improvement. Your role involves analyzing business results, tracking key targets, and providing reports to various teams. You will also handle sales reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis, while leading key performance indicator reporting. Analytical Support and Reporting: You will mine data systems (SAP, SAP BW, Power BI, etc.) to create meaningful reports and metrics. You'll provide detailed reports on top customer activity and track KPIs like Fill Rate and On-time delivery. Collaborating with other departments, you'll drive KPI performance and lead meetings with Sales and customers. Process Improvement and Development: You'll develop processes to coordinate data shifts and analyze supply chain activities to identify issues and improve processes. You'll present strategic recommendations to management and continually refine business processes. Forecasting and Data Management: Managing forecasting for sales channels, maintaining customer master data, and coordinating seasonal orders are also part of your responsibilities. You'll support optimal shipping locations and participate in audit support roles. Support and Communication: You'll communicate critical concerns to senior leadership and manage distressed, donation, and tankage reporting. You'll monitor performance against OTIF guidelines, create executive summaries, and present updates to leadership, ensuring compliance with logistics processes.

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university and 2+years' relevant experience in an analytical role; or equivalent combination of education and experience, required. Knowledge of supply chain process flow and customer relations from a supply chain perspective. Excellent computer and technological skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Power Point) and strong working knowledge of Power Bi and SAP.
OTHER SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU STAND OUT:
SAP experience preferred. Structured Query Language (SQL) experience preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills with experience involving customer contact, problem resolution, and related product knowledge. Capable of learning new IT systems as tasking and management data needs evolve. Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams. Must display an aptitude and eagerness for learning and developing new business and technical skills quickly, strong problem-solving skills, show initiative, great attention to detail. Capability to present data in a clear and concise manner to all levels of management Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment. Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
