The role of the Shipping Coordinator includes communicating any discrepancies to the Buyers and communicating any employee issues to the Managers. The Shipping Coordinator is responsible for making sure all paperwork is filled out correctly, while filing away those that are complete. Before bringing any product in-house, the Hot Seat must ensure that COAs are approved.

The Shipping Coordinator shall communicate directly with Buyers, Schedulers, Shipping and Receiving Managers, Logistics Managers, Dispatch Managers, Material Handlers, Business Unit Managers, Plant Managers, and Line Foremen clearly and professionally with any issues that may occur throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Running the day-to-day office tasks (making appointments, answering phones, etc.)

• Creating BOLs

• Assigning trucks to the appropriate dock doors

• Instructing Hi-Lo Ops on their next priorities

• Checking truck drivers' IDs and yards

• Sealing trailers

• Creating switcher/shuttle moves

• Any other clerical work that needs to be done

Required and Preferred Qualifications:

Required:

• HS Diploma

• Experience and knowledge with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Preferred:

• Associate degree
