Industrial Electrician

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to prevent failures
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical problems in power distribution systems, motor controls, PLCs, instrumentation, and lighting systems
• Repair / replace faulty electrical components, such as switches, relays, circuit breakers, and motors
• Develop and implement effective solutions to electrical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with relevant electrical codes and standards
• Work effectively with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and and production team
• Follows company safe work policies and procedures
• Completes any other duties assigned

Job Qualifications:

• Must have at least a Texas state Apprentice Electrician license
• Prior experience as an industrial electrician in a manufacturing environment is preferred
• Basic computer knowledge is required
• Must be able to follow OSHA safety standards and be safety conscious at all times
• Must possess a valid driver's license
• 18 years or older and legally able to work in the US
• Stable work history with good references from past employers
• Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
• PSC is a veteran-friendly company. Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.

Physical Requirements:

You must be able to:

• Speak, write, read fluent English. Hear and have good vision.
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
• Work outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or extreme cold
• Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of PPE
• Lift 60 pounds floor to waist
• Push and pull 30 pounds horizontally
• Carry 20 pounds while walking
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Stand 8-12 hours per day
• Extend arms through normal range of motion while standing and squatting
