As the Midwest Territory Account Executive for the Food Science Division, you will be at the forefront of one of the largest and fastest growing areas within FSD. Your daily activities will include promoting and selling Bio-Rad Food Science products and services, such as the CFX Opus platform, iQ-Check Kits, ddPCR platform, and the full portfolio of FSD products. You will utilize our CRM system to prospect new accounts, qualify leads, and manage relationships with established accounts. Additionally, you will provide technical customer support, including installation and training on FSD products and services. Travel up to 50% will be required to support sales activities and achieve pre-defined business objectives.

How You'll Make An Impact:



  • Maintenance and growth of territory utilizing Bio-Rad's complete workflow solution of instruments, reagents and consumables.
  • Prospecting of new customers, qualifying leads and converting to Bio-Rad's FSD portfolio of products.
  • Building renewable relationships with existing and new customers for Bio-Rad FSD by providing workflow solutions and consultory technical support.
  • Achieving plan for the FSD Midwest Territory.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time for account management, prospecting, and technical support/training.


What You Bring:



  • Education: BS, MS, or PhD in Microbiology, Food Science, Life Science discipline or equivalent experience
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years food science technical sales experience preferably with PCR technology.
  • Knowledge of food pathogen testing within the food sector of ISO 17025 laboratories
  • Historical success selling food safety testing methods or equipment to commercial, governmental or In-House manufacturer laboratories within the Midwest territory.
  • Detailed planning and organizational skills.
  • CRM experience, preferably SalesForce.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Relentless self-starter with excellent communication skills.

Compensation: The estimated base salary range for this position is $94,100 to $129,400 at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be provided in writing at the time of offer, if applicable, and is based on several factors we believe fairly and accurately impact compensation, including geographic location, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and other job permitted factors. This position is also eligible for quarterly commission based on assigned sales quotas.
