Healthy Families Clinical Supervisor (Full Time)

Location: Woonsocket, RI

The Clinical Supervisor will promote and implement high standards of family-centered practice and service provision within the Healthy Families America Program. Candidate must be an effective communicator, demonstrate strong leadership qualities and be highly organized. In this role, the supervisor provides individual reflective supervision/home visit observations, maintains supervision logs and is available for clinical consultation. Other duties include ensuring adherence to HFA model, monitoring case records, completing quarterly reviews, facilitating team meetings, and engaging in the development and implementation of program policies. The position may maintain a small direct service caseload dependent upon census and need. Supervisor must have knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child interactions/relationships or experience with family services that embrace the concepts of family-centered and strength-based services, and experience working with culturally diverse communities.

Education and Licensing Requirements:


  • Master's Degree in Human Services or fields related to working with children and families, or bachelor's degree in these fields with 3 years of relevant experience, or less than a bachelor's degree but with commensurate HFA experience
  • Solid understanding of or experience in supervising diverse staff with humility,, as well as providing support to staff in stressful work environments
  • Knowledge of infant and child development and parent-child attachment
  • Experience with family services that embraces the concepts of family-centered and strength-based service provision
  • Knowledge of parent-infant health and dynamics of child abuse and neglect
  • Experience supporting culturally diverse communities/families
  • Experience in home visiting with a strong background in early childhood prevention services
  • Willingness to engage in building reflective practice; Experience with reflective practice preferred
  • Infant mental health endorsement preferred
