JOB SUMMARY

Alaska North Slope (NS) Site Manager is accountable to the Alaska Development Construction and Fabrication Execution Manager and the Fabrication and Construction Optimization Coordinator. Accountabilities include overall accountability for meeting the site safety, environmental, quality, cost, schedule, and project objectives.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Provide day to day supervisory leadership in developing a project site culture that exemplifies teamwork and a "One Team" approach where everyone working on the site enjoys their work and contributes to the successful completion of project objectives.
  • Provide day to day ownership for the site performance management plan and implementation for all Lump Sum, Unit Rate, reimbursable contracts, and execution schedules.
  • Assist in the development of the Project Construction Execution Plan (CEP) within the "Define" and "Execution Phases" of the project and provide leadership in the execution of the CEP.
  • Directly involved with the overall efforts of reviewing and approving all contractors' execution plans.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the company site team readiness process prior to mobilization for the Client's team and all execution contractors.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of all contractors' readiness processes prior to mobilization to ensure a go/no go decision has been made.
  • Daily review of contractor quantity counting and earned value progress, schedule to completion, manpower, and cost in place.
  • Implementing and communicating schedule recovery plans, if required.
  • Ensure the compliance of all local, state, and federal permit stipulations, codes, standards, specifications by the company site team members and all assigned contractors.
  • Provide leadership for the construction team on all project direct and indirect interfaces and ensure full engagement of the North Slope Construction Team with Commissioning, Drilling and Operations.
  • Responsible for leading all construction related simultaneous operations and execution construction activities with Commissioning, Drilling and Operations.
  • Direct responsibility for ensuring the NS Construction Site Team has all necessary workstations, equipment, supplies and infrastructure items to effectively oversee project execution.
  • Provide overall leadership for the construction risk management plan and risk register ensuring all risks are identified, tracked, action plans developed and worked to closure.
  • Provide overall leadership for the EHS management plan implemented on the project and ensure everyone assigned to the site is fully aware of the EHS plan with the goal being ZERO - Incidents, Accident, and Injuries.
  • Lead initial incident investigations and report the initial reporting to the Project Construction Manager.
  • Provide input to the development of the site quality and assurance plans and ensure complete implementation by all contractors for assigned NS work.
  • Directly responsible for ensuring all scope is Mechanically Complete (MC), official walkdowns are scheduled, punch list documented, open items worked to completion and final documentation compiled and turnover to the Pikka Completions Team.
  • Directly responsible for reviewing and signing off all Mechanical Completion Certificate (MCC) and returning to the Completions Team.
  • Responsible for all system and sub-system punch list identification, ensure work completion and closeout.
  • Actively participate in contractor safety meetings including daily toolbox meetings, weekly safety meeting and weekly EHS Leadership meetings.
  • Participate in value assurance activities (i.e., Peer Review, Assurance Review, Workshops, Gate Approval, etc.) and support the internal process of project authorization.
  • Direct responsibility for capturing and sharing of all past, present, and future project and current project lessons learned.
  • Responsible for scheduling and organizing all weekly contractor progress meetings and ensuring contractors are prepared to present their progress, performance, and concerns.
  • Reporting daily progress verbally and electronically to senior managers, and personnel operating out of the Anchorage, AK office.
  • Responsible for coordinating and making decision on all weather-related shutdowns and reinstatement with contractor site managers.
  • Other duties will be assigned to this position as needs require.
  • Comply with Company and customer policies and procedures.
  • Support AES zero-incident safety culture and assume personal accountability and responsibility for safe work practices in all projects, activities, and operations.


REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction-related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in a supervisor / managerial role.
  • Heavy industrial, processing facilities, civil, pipelines, construction best practices and constructability.
  • Knowledge of civil and structural engineering practices.
  • Must be able to read, interpret and communicate (both written and verbally) detailed technical concepts in English.
  • Must be proficient in general computer use including in Microsoft Office, Outlook, Word and Excel.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience working on Alaska North Slope cross country pipeline, power lines and communications projects preferred.

WORKING ON THE NORTH SLOPE

While working on the North Slope of Alaska, your lodging and food will be provided to you. All camps provide warm meals and options to grab a quick lunch or snack from the spike rooms. Rooms vary from single status to shared rooms where your roommate may work the opposite shift. Wi-Fi and Internet is free and available within the camp. Services vary depending upon where you are staying; however, most facilities offer housekeeping, self-serve laundry, commissary, mail, gyms, TV/Theater Room, etc. Each facility will have their own accommodations and policies that will be reviewed upon on-site orientation.
