The user-experience (UX) designer will translate the needs of the customer into business requirements, product requirements, and implementation plans. As a member of the Digital and Customer Experience Team, you will collaborate in a fast-paced environment with external customers as well as internally with stakeholders, and other designers. The UX designer will also be expected to give input on the overall desired functionality of products or business processes to ensure an accessible and excellent user experience. Responsibilities
- Discover and define the needs of our users, using data and information from research, user goals, and Mass General Brigham Health Plan core values.
- Ensure that the Health Plan platforms conform to accessibility standards and regulatory requirements; also serve as an advocate for accessibility for all our customers.
- Design the information architecture, interface, and interaction flow to support any business transactions.
- Deliver user journeys/flows, wireframes, prototypes, high-fidelity mockups, user stories, and detailed UI and visual design specifications for web, mobile web, mobile application interfaces, and/or other interfaces as appropriate to technical teams and business leadership.
- Develop and document design principles and standards for typography, color schemes, iconography, and UI components to maintain brand consistency.
- Continuously update and refine the design system based on industry trends, user feedback, and emerging design technologies.
- Conduct regular audits of existing products and suggest improvements to align with or enhance the design language system.
- Lead and collaborate on design reviews, brainstorming workshops, and user research to contribute valuable insights and solutions.
- Perform validation of design decisions through analytics, user research, and customer testing.
- Drive excellence across Mass General Brigham Health Plan digital platforms.
- Collaborate with IT and external vendors to ensure best-in-class customer experience for both members and internal clients interfacing with our digital brand.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required or the equivalent combination of training and experience
- At least 2-3 years of experience as a UX or UI designer required
- 4+ years of experience preferred
- Relevant experience with accessibility regulations (e.g. WCAG, ADA, etc.) and/or Accessibility certification preferred
- Familiarity with modern digital and design tools, techniques, and languages preferred
