TSC is currently seeking an Document Control Specialist in Huntsville, AL (Discovery). We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Document Control Specialist to control, organize, and track engineering data, product structures, and change management documentation. This role will manage, process, and maintain controlled documentation. The ideal candidate will be responsible for handling project documents, maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely distribution of revision-level documentation, and upholding document control procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the release and revision of engineering documents, part numbers, and Bills of Material (BOMs)
  • Assist in managing Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and Change Notices
  • Ensure accurate entry and maintenance of data within Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
  • Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to coordinate and track configuration data
  • Help maintain compliance with internal configuration standards and procedures
  • Provide document control support for drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Participate in audits and reviews of configuration items and processes
  • Ensure compliance with contract-specific document numbering conventions, version control, approval workflows, and signature protocols.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and 0-2 years of relevant industry experience
  • US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
  • Understanding of configuration management principles or industry standards (e.g., MIL-STD-973, EIA-649, ISO 9001)
  • Proficiency in document management systems and MS Office Suite
  • Knowledge of federal regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and document security protocols.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with PLM and ERP systems such as Teamcenter, Deltek Costpoint, etc.
  • Experience in document control within a government contracting environment preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
