GENERAL FUNCTION: The Portfolio and Delivery Leader provides leadership through the management and delivery of internal communications, operating rhythms, portfolio management and strategic planning. This position will provide a strategic focus and consistent direction for all internal communication materials, portfolio management and reporting. The role is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive operating rhythms to support the effective management of the team. The role will work with the leadership team and key partners on the annual strategic planning process and integrate these plans into ongoing operating rhythms and communications to monitor progress and share results. Responsible and accountable for risk by openly exchanging ideas and opinions, elevating concerns, and personally following policies and procedures as defined. Accountable for always doing the right thing for customers and colleagues, and ensures that actions and behaviors drive a positive customer experience. While operating within the Bank's risk appetite, achieves results by consistently identifying, assessing, managing, monitoring, and reporting risks of all types. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operating Rhythms:
- Leads comprehensive and structured governance for all Team operating rhythms to ensure alignment to the Team/Bancorp vision and strategic initiatives.
- Works across the team to develop, compile, and review content for enterprise and Team reviews.
- Develops processes to increase consistency of execution and improve organizational productivity and efficiency in the management of these reviews.
- Responsible for oversight of employee engagement and inclusion initiatives.
- Portfolio Management:
- Manage the development, alignment, communication and implementation of a long-term strategic vision and portfolio for Business Transformation and Ops Excellence.
- Work closely with all portfolio stakeholders (Product Managers, Portfolio Officers, EMPO, Finance) to provide guidance and ensure portfolio governance and adherence to enterprise process.
- Planning and management at the portfolio level: tracking of actuals and accruals; month end reporting and variance analysis; reconciliation with Finance during budgets and projections in conjunction with portfolio owner, approve spend on all projects.
- Support the annual strategic planning and budgeting processes.
- Communications:
- Responsible for all Team communications across all audience groups and channels; responsible for the strategic approach to managing and delivering content in a consistent and consolidated manner. Ensures content is on-brand, consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice.
- Partners with and provides consultation to Team EVP and direct reports to proactively plan and deliver messaging.
- Builds strong relationships with management and key stakeholders in order to understand their business functions and write appropriate strategies for their internal communication needs.
- Determines and implements the most effective, efficient and impactful methods and channels to achieve communication objectives.
- Creates presentations and presenter support materials. Writes speeches and talking points.
- Provides leadership and works with Corporate Communications, Office of Enterprise Operating.
- Rhythms, and other partners across the Bank to proactively manage the volume/impact of messaging.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None. MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in business related field with 5-7 years leadership or general consulting experience with progressive/increasing scope.
- 5+ years' experience in internal, employee, or organizational communications or equivalent experience preferred.
- Knowledge to inform decisions and provide advice/recommendations to business leaders.
- Expert at creating simplified communications and skilled at telling and designing a cohesive story to support business objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to elicit information from others, develop content, and tailor messages to distinct stakeholder groups.
- Excellent research, writing and editorial skills, with demonstrated ability to communicate complex information in a simplified way to numerous audience groups; excellent presentation skills and familiarity with a broad range of communications technologies. Ability to meet fast-paced deadlines and successfully manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Must be able to exercise sound judgment independently and handle crisis situations.
