Job Summary

Perform a variety of services involved in the maintenance/upkeep, troubleshooting and minor repair of parking equipment, facilities, structures and lots. This position will interact on a consistent basis with: other maintenance staff and contractors. This position typically will advise and counsel: co-workers. This position will supervise: NA.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 -
Perform installation, repair and replacement of parking gate components.

Job Duty 2 -
Perform general maintenance and upkeep of parking lots and garages to include installation and painting of signs and meter poles, layout and stripping of stalls, leaf blowing and trash removal and garage lighting replacement.

Job Duty 3 -
Operate heavy equipment used in the sweeping and scrubbing of parking garage.

Job Duty 4 -
Perform minor repairs to asphalt surfaces.

Job Duty 5 -
Perform maintenance checks and services on assigned vehicles and maintenance equipment.

Job Duty 6 -
Respond to maintenance calls by phone/radio; receive and direct deliveries.

Job Duty 7 -
Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements
High school diploma, GED Certificate or Vocational School Diploma

Other Required Qualifications
Georgia Drivers License Work environment involves exposure to potentially hazardous materials and situations requiring adhering to strick safety procedures. May be exposed to weather conditions, extreme heat, fumes, dust, hot surfaces, noise, rotating machinery, oor lighting and live electrical parts and wiring. Requires lifting objects up to 75 pounds and standing for extended periods of time. Requires working from ladders, scaffolding, lifts and bucket trucks to heights necessary to reach components and systems. Requires accessing and working in confined spaces (manholes, vaults, pits, etc.). May require wearing full-face respirator in accordance with GT campus polices and procedures and provide own tools.

Required Experience
Four to five years of job related experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

SKILLS
This job requires ability to operate hand/power tools, motor vehicles (may include sweepers, scrubbers and standard transmission vehicles) and basic skill in coordinating maintenance activity and providing customer service . A working knowledge in equipment maintenance and repair is required. Use of computer applications may be required..

Other Information

Job Grade: C6

Pay Range: $17.98 /hr - $24.45/hr

Due to the responsibilities of this position, this role requires an onsite presence on Georgia Tech's Atlanta campus (100%).
