Job Summary |
The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University is excited to recruit candidates for the
Student Services Coordinator. The selected individual will coordinate projects, programs, and activities and provide services and/or advisement for potential and/or current students. |
Essential Functions |
- Advises students in matters related to goals, policies, choice of curriculum, course load, study habits, course scheduling, academic action and problem resolutio
- Maintains student and advising records in accordance with State/Federal law and University regulations.
- Verifies, certifies, and/or completes appropriate student-related forms, and processes.
- Assist in development and execution of department strategic plans including the teaching plan
- Build course schedules and room assignments.
- Maintain undergraduate curriculum documentation including curriculum model(s), prerequisite sheets, curriculum change log, course substitution log, etc. Initiate and manage curricular additions and revisions of courses and programs.
- Assists with student orientations.
- Interprets University policies, procedures, and curriculum to students, faculty, and staff.
- Coordinate activities related to field experiences, internships and job placement of graduates.
- Recruits or coordinates the recruitment of students for programs and/or projects.
- Assists with student-related programs and events for college/school to include (but not limited to) open-houses, award ceremonies, career days, student organizations, etc.
- May assist in educational related activities related to the accreditation process.
- May coordinate the development and/or preparation of informational materials relevant to students, alumni, and/or donors such as (but not limited to) updating websites, creating brochures, press releases, or newsletters.
- Participation in professional development activities as appropriate.
- Participation in departmental committees, awards, meetings, and functions.
- Assist with various administrative tasks in the department as needed.
- May coordinate and/or teach UNIV courses within the incumbent's home college or school.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications |
Level I: Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position with no experience.
Level II: Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 2 years experience in advising and/or coordinating student services. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Level III: Bachelor's degree in discipline appropriate to position plus 4 years experience in advising and/or coordinating student services. Experience must include at least 2 years at the preceding level or equivalent.
Substitutions Allowed for Experience: Substitution allowed for Experience: When a candidate has the required education, but lacks the required experience, they may normally apply additional appropriate education toward the experience requirement, at a rate of one (1) year relevant education per year of required experience. |
