About the Role:

As an associate consultant - operations and communications associate in the Policy and Program Strategic Solutions Practice, you will collaborate with team members to conceptualize, deliver, and support our clients through today's ever-changing healthcare landscape. Serving as an operations and communications associate, your day-to-day role as a NYSTEC consultant will involve collaborating with a dynamic team of dedicated individuals who support the software development life cycle of the Uniform Assessment System for New York (UAS-NY). You will be providing quality content reviews and copy editing training documents in collaboration with the UAS-NY training team.

Key Responsibilities



  • Translate application technical specifications into easy to understand communications for external users.
  • Create legal policies in support of the UAS-NY.
  • Develop documentation, including infographics.
  • Conduct document reviews, including content verification, language standardization, and copy editing for both communications and training materials (in collaboration with the training team).
  • Create and document processes.
  • Manage user access to the UAS-NY.
  • Onboard and offboard UAS-NY staff.
  • Perform various operations responsibilities.


About you:
Required Qualifications

  • Effective writing and communication skills, including presentations, technical documents, and translating technical documents into easy-to-understand communications.
  • Detail-oriented copy-editing ability, including content reviews, language standardization, and sentence flow, clarity, and grammar.
  • A high level of client service skills, including the ability to anticipate client needs, develop alternatives, and execute solutions.
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite of product (Word, Excel, OneNote, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Problem solving, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills.
  • The ability to create quality deliverables on time while multitasking a variety of priorities.
  • The ability to show initiative, work and train independently and under general supervision, and work collaboratively with a team.


Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of nursing assessments, especially the community health assessment.


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree in communications, public policy, public health, or a similar field and one year of related experience.
  • An equivalent combination of advanced education, training, and experience will be considered.


The target base salary for this position is $60,000 - $74,000 per year. When determining compensation, we analyze and carefully consider several factors, including skill set, experience, location, and job-related qualifications.
