Colonial Williamsburg boasts a rich history as well, having hosted and entertained guests from around the globe. The Spa of Colonial Williamsburg is looking for an experienced individual to fill the position of The Spa Lead oversees daily service operations including service staff supervision and work performance within their area of licensure.

They are also responsible for ordering supplies, creating SOPs, protocols, setting goals, and enforcing the company's policies, guidelines, and FORBES standards. The Lead role may also provide daily objectives, develop reward systems for productivity to motivate staff and communicate any issues with upper management to reach business goals effectively.

Daily Duties:

* Oversee the daily operations of your assigned area.

* Work effectively with Department Managers to address and resolve shared issues throughout the operations.

* Provide inventory counts, supply orders, and stock all areas within their department.

* Develop, plan, and execute internal training and meetings within their department as required.

* Plan and schedule outside training with vendor partners.

* Interview, schedule, and train all new hires within their department.

* Collaborate with Spa Director to create new services and offerings.

* Motivate and Goal set with staff to increase revenue through education of the guest.

* Train, and hold accountable, all new and existing staff on all FORBES classifications, standards, and their measurements.

* Participate in coaching and counseling of staff to improve performance when necessary.

* Ensure all staff is always operating in compliance with FORBES standards.

* Enforce FORBES, CW/ Crescent grooming and image standards with staff.

* Work with spa management to provide staffing and support for special events.

* Ensure all sanitization and cleanliness standards within their departments/ areas are being followed.

* Maintain a clean, welcoming, professional, and relaxing environment for every guest.

* Escalate all staff and guest issues to Spa Management team or Director when unable to resolve.

* Keep current with existing wellness trends that align with the culture of the company.

* Reply, in a timely manner, to all email and internal communications as expected.

* Attend all staff meetings and training as required.

* Assist other departments, where requested, to support the operations.

* Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.

* Lead by example and exemplify the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.

* Provide support toward achieving spa and overall resort sales goals.

* Maintain current knowledge of all operational processes and policies.

* Maintain an expert level of knowledge regarding FORBES standards and practices within licensed profession.

* Ensure all staff licensing is up to date.

Professional Qualifications:

* High school diploma.

* Sales experience.

* Managerial experience

* Hospitality and/or resort experience.

* Current licensure in the field of application.

* Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods.

* Understanding of salon and spa safety and sanitation practices.

* Ability to problem-solve and address guest issues professionally.

* Proficient in educational sales techniques.

* Collaborate well with peers to support a seamless guest experience.

* Punctual.

* Ability to manage internal conflict and make win-win-win decisions when required.

Must be able to:

* Walk/ stand for extended periods of time.

* Bend, crouch, squat and/ or kneel repetitively.

* Lift up to 50 lbs.

* Work during peak business hours (weekends, evenings, and holidays)
