Purpose:

Worley is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer with a strong background in the refining industry to oversee and manage engineering projects related to refining operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing projects that enhance operational efficiency, safety, and compliance within the refining sector.

Responsibilities:



  • Lead and manage engineering on projects from conception to completion, ensuring alignment with refining industry standards and regulations.
  • Work both independently and in collaboration with the project manager / portfolio manager to drive the success of the overall project.
  • Assist with proposal development.
  • Communicate project scopes, budgets, and timelines while coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Oversee the design, development, and implementation of refining process improvements and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, including environmental, health, and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with client project, operations, maintenance, and regulatory teams to optimize refinery performance.
  • Identify and mitigate potential project risks, ensuring timely and cost-effective completion.
  • Manage contractor and vendor relationships, ensuring quality and adherence to project specifications.
  • Utilize engineering software and tools for design and engineering.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for troubleshooting and problem resolution for refining operations and maintenance.

What you will bring

Technical/Industry Experience and Qualifications Requirements:



  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in engineering roles within the refining industry.
  • Strong knowledge of refining processes, equipment, and best practices.
  • Experience in project management, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Aspen HYSYS, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.


Additional information:



  • Salary: $129,993 - $191,166 annually commensurate with experience.
  • Benefits: eligible for PTO, 401k, medical, vision, dental, etc.
  • This position is based in Englewood / Denver CO.


Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

Required:



  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.


Preferred:



  • Familiarity with industry regulations (OSHA, EPA, API, ASME, etc.).
