Strongbridge has an exciting opportunity for a talented, hands-on Sr. Business Analyst with a passion for innovation to support our client. Candidates must be clearable for a public trust and be a US Citizen or Green Card holder and have lived in the US for the past 3 years consecutively.
Position may be remote if not in the DC area. 1 day/week onsite if local.
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate project requirement sessions focused on gathering business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancements, and implementations.
- Create and maintain project summaries and updates, project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time and resources, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts, meeting minutes and schedules.
- Serve as a liaison between Operations and IT to assist or gather business requirements needed for system modifications, enhancement, and implementations
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements, develop and execute test plans
- Provide project level analysis - producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, current state and future state proposals, UAT plan)
- Identify, create and facilitate process design changes by conducting business and systems process analysis and design at a complex level; focusing on quality improvement and data management; ensuring data is reliable and valid; developing process flows that capture the current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) of an application or process; improvements or re-engineering and recommending elimination; integrating new systems and processes with existing ones; and partnering with internal and external customers to ensure systems provided meet the long-term business strategies
- Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to keep others up-to-date on project results.
For assigned projects:
- Meet with project team regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines
- Coordinate with Business Owners to facilitate project meetings, flesh out requirements in order to stay current with the customer needs.
- Facilitate meetings and guide conversations between Development Teams, Product Owners, and Business Owners.
- Manage all aspects of the Scrum, from team Sprint capacity, grooming and refining the backlog items, to the facilitation of the daily scrum ceremonies.
- Ability to provide functional and regression testing for assigned projects (will need to build test cases in Azure DevOps).
- Create project level documentation (UAT scripts, Release Notes, Sprint Reviews, Project timelines, Meeting notes, etc.)
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Ability to gain/maintain a Certificate of Public Trust
- Strong interpersonal skills including mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands within a SDLC process.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs with the ability to establish/maintain high level of customer trust and confidence
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and meeting management expertise with strong presentation and facilitation skills, including experience with executive client facing interaction
- Experience in testing new features, Enhancements or defects.
- Experience developing process flows that capture the current state (As-Is) and future state (To-Be) of an application or process.
Technical Skills
* Functional feature requirements writing
* Experience working with Azure DevOps and SharePoint Online
* Knowledge/experience with Microsoft Professional Suite (Word, Excel, & PowerPoint)
Pay Range: $90,000 - $105,00
The posted pay range reflects the range expected for this position at the commencement of employment, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity.
