Overview: (Key Personnel Proposal Opportunity)
Agile Defense is seeking a highly analytical and mission-focused Intelligence Analyst to support a Department of Justice joint-effort program. This role directly supports efforts to identify and disrupt drug-related and criminal activity. The Intelligence Analyst will leverage proprietary and open-source data, financial intelligence, geographic intelligence and deep industry knowledge to develop investigative leads and actionable intelligence products.
This is a unique opportunity to support high-priority national security investigations focused on exposing and dismantling criminal networks and illicit activity. Candidates with strong intelligence analysis skills will thrive in this dynamic, high-impact environment.
Clearance: Secret
Location: Fairfax, VA & Washington, DC (Onsite)
Travel: Some CONUS travel may be required.
Responsibilities/Duties:
    • Serves as a technical authority in one or more intelligence disciplines.
    • Responsible for planning, coordinating, and synthesizing research from other Intelligence Analysts to prepare and disseminate all-source intelligence products and responses.
    • Determines research methodology and work approach, and revises as appropriate.
    • Evaluates incoming intelligence and determines pertinent data that should be directed to the attention of the Senior Intelligence Officer.
    • Assesses progress of research efforts and redirects efforts.
    • Evaluates correctness and accuracy of researched material.
    • Briefs intelligence assessments and positions to principals and subordinates.
    • Ensures team products fulfill National-level intelligence requirements.
    • Provides technical guidance to staff principals and subordinates.
    • Conducts complex research and analysis of intelligence, counterintelligence, counternarcotic, organized crime operations, capabilities, and trends supporting all source intelligence and threat production.
    • Leads the preparation, coordination, and implementation of intelligence production and analysis activities in support of operations.
    • Develops intelligence estimates and projections.
    • Presents, advocates, and defends client positions effectively within the intelligence, planning, and operational communities.
    • Coordinates, develops, drafts, writes, produces, revises and ensures completeness of intelligence plans, annexes and associated appendices that require management input.
    • Formulates and prepares the intelligence plans and security portions of exercises.
    • Plans and coordinates intelligence support of joint and combined exercises.
    • Serves as intelligence representative, liaison, site survey officer, and focal point staff officer for exercises and real-world crisis operations.
    • Maintains close liaison with counterparts in other intelligence activities/departments, and ensures coordination and integrity of methodologies and approaches with teams of other analysts throughout the Intelligence Community.
    • Develops plans and resourcing strategies to meet ever- changing and expanding requirements for intelligence communications, networks, equipment, support, software, and training.
Required Qualifications:
    • A Bachelor's degree with 8 years of professional experience in intelligence or threat analysis; or a Master's degree with at least 6 years of professional experience in intelligence or threat analysis.
    • Experience in one or more intelligence disciplines.
    • Ability to plan and conduct research and analysis.
    • Ability to plan and organize work effectively.
    • Experience in providing intelligence support to and participating in exercises and real-world events.
    • Ability to work effectively with individuals at all organizational levels.
    • Strong communication skills, including the ability to: Compose complex analytical reports; Deliver presentations and briefings clearly; Interact as part of multi-jurisdictional investigative teams; Elicit sensitive information and build collaborative relationships across law enforcement, financial institutions, and private sector stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
    • Experience working with the national security/law enforcement agencies.
    • Familiarity with commercial databases (e.g., Dun & Bradstreet, LexisNexis, Clear, World-Check) and social media monitoring tools.
    • Familiarity with cryptocurrency and/or GEOINT tools.
