Job Details

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adverse Event Safety Database Manager to join our biopharmaceutical consulting team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining safety databases, including Argus, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of adverse event data, and supporting signal management activities. This role involves close engagement with biopharma clients, development of ad-hoc line listings and related outputs, and serving as a bridge to support clients post-software installation.

Responsibilities:

  • Database Management: Oversee the configuration, maintenance, and optimization of the Argus Safety Database and other safety databases.

  • Data Integrity: Ensure the accuracy and completeness of adverse event data entries and perform regular quality checks.

  • Reporting: Generate and review periodic safety reports, including expedited and aggregate reports, and develop ad-hoc line listings and related outputs.

  • User Support: Provide technical support and training to users of the safety databases.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with global regulatory requirements and company policies.

  • Automation: Implement and manage automated processes within the databases to improve efficiency.

  • Client Engagement: Engage closely with biopharma clients to understand their needs and provide tailored database solutions.

  • Signal Management: Support and manage adverse event signal detection and management software systems to identify potential safety issues.

  • Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison with clients for ad-hoc needs and support them during the post-software installation period.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including pharmacovigilance, clinical, and regulatory affairs.

  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve database issues promptly to minimize disruptions.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in managing Argus Safety Database and other pharmacovigilance systems.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Certifications: Certification in Oracle Argus Safety Database management.

  • Experience: Prior experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.

  • Client Engagement: Experience in engaging with biopharma clients and understanding their specific needs.

  • Signal Management: Familiarity with adverse event signal detection and management software systems.

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Oracle SQL and familiarity with GxP validated systems.

  • Knowledge: Strong understanding of global pharmacovigilance regulations and guidelines.

  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
