Network Engineer

Primary Purpose of Job

Responsible for design, implementation and maintenance of a network infrastructure that supports the corporate technology strategy. Works with other Technology groups to implement technology components that support the organization's long-term needs. Provides support of assigned software and hardware through monitoring, troubleshooting and issue resolution.

Major Job Accountabilities

• Supports assigned network software and hardware by maintaining and monitoring status; performs trouble shooting, administration and testing.
• Performs technical analysis with the use of sophisticated equipment to identify faulty hardware and systems; initiates action to repair or replace.
• Diagnoses and recommends and implements solutions to resolve reports of system trouble, business problems, and customer's questions.
• Designs, installs, configures and supports data and voice-related hardware and software. Updates and maintains network documentation.
• Implements changes to network configurations during non-business hours, as required.

Experience Required

• Two (2) years of work experience in Infrastructure Technology, including providing operational support.
• Two (2) years of work experience with enterprise networks.

Required Skills or Training

• Demonstrates sound knowledge of privacy and information security regulations.
• Able to prioritize multiple assignments and complete work within tight deadlines.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
