Position Summary Information
Position Summary |
The purpose of this position is to:
- Operate as the Assessment Software (currently ACCUPLACER) Site Manager for Main Campus Placement Testing & Assessment Center.
- Provide an appropriate environment for student placement testing on the main campus.
- Schedule and proctor College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests.
- Schedule and proctor Ability to Benefit Testing (ATB).
- Administered scheduled academic testing such as CHEM 118 Test-Out, ENGL 101 Test-Out, etc.
- Provide other testing as required.
- Act as a resource to Academic Advisors, Staff/Faculty, and Community regarding placement testing.
- Work collaboratively with the coordinator of Academic and Industry Testing to administer academic and industry tests offered through the Testing Center.
- Provide follow up within 24-hours with students that miss their scheduled testing appointments.
- Participate in outreach efforts when required to meet enrollment strategy goals.
With over 4500 tests proctored in a given year, this position is an integral piece of the student enrollment process.
Supervisory Responsibility: The Coordinator does not supervise employees but will be responsible for selecting, training, coordinating and evaluating the activities of several student workers.

Minimum Requirements |
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited 4 year university.
- Three years experience coordinating and supervising students. Experience is defined as responsibilities including hiring, scheduling, assigning and monitoring work, and performance review
- Must be able to be certified to administer the ATB Testing and College Level Examination Program.
- Demonstrated experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint at an intermediate level.
- Valid Michigan driver's license with reliable transportation.

Additional Desirable Qualifications |
- Master's Degree/Bachelor's degree in Educational Psychology, Testing Measures, Statistics, or Higher Education or other directly relevant degree with college coursework in Tests and Measurements and Statistics.
- Previous work experience in a community college setting.
- Previous coordination or supervision experience in a designated testing center.
- Education and/or experience in individual and group testing and assessment.
- Experience and familiarity with assessment software, such as ACCUPLACER computerized testing.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions |
With or without accommodation, the employee needs to move about and sit up to one-third to two-thirds of the time. Must be able to handle or feel objects, equipment and/or other items for over two-thirds of the time. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information over two-thirds of the time. With reasonable assistance, must be able to lift and/or adjust things such as computer hardware and boxes of paper.

Work Schedule:
Full time, Monday and Tuesday, 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Wednesday through Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm Must be able to work weekends and evenings occasionally as required. Some local travel may be required.
