Company Description
Tyler Coupling is hiring a General Sales Manager for our Northeast territory which includes New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, Ohio, and Michigan. We are looking for an experienced sales professional to establish themselves and the McWane Plumbing Group in the Coupling market by directing, maintaining, and growing our contractor and distributor base. Through the establishment of meaningful business relationships with industry contractors, wholesalers, and distributors, the sales professional will gather important and factual market information while providing quality customer service in support of the sales, profitability goals, and technical issues for the assigned territory. Job Description
- Represent McWane Plumbing Group and Tyler Coupling in a way that is moral, ethical, and positive.
- Manage your time and budgets in a way that will best meet the needs of the Northeast Region.
- Establish a presence within the territory to provide market information including estimated total market units, distribution units, McWane's manufacturing representatives, competitors within the market.
- Knowledge of all distributors, independent owners, and regional and national companies.
- Knowledge of contactors with the territory that includes their current jobs.
- Administrative duties include weekly reports submitted to the National Coupling Sales Manager, timely and accurate expense reports, and written proposals for events and trade shows. Also included in the administrative duties are goal setting and progress plans that include the next 120 days, strategies for obtaining goals, and tonnage updates.
- Relationships are defined as a personal connection between all entities that engage in commerce. General Sales Managers engage in relationships to influence and attain sales, information, and market detail.
Qualifications
- Five plus years of industry experience.
- Five plus years of sales experience.
- Must be willing to travel throughout the northeast market and national events.
- Have and maintain an excellent driving record to follow the McWane company vehicle policy.
- Excellent technical, verbal, written, and presentation skills.
