We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Research Project Manager.
The New York University Grossman School of Medicines Department of Population Health (DPH) is a dynamic environment of excellence, innovation and growth with faculty across a wide range of disciplines including behavioral and social sciences, epidemiology, health services research, evaluation, biostatistics, and medical ethics with a particular focus on health equity.
The Health Evaluation and Analytics Lab (HEAL), led by Dr. Charles Neighbors, is a unique research resource that contains New York Medicaid and other state administrative data to support studies of health and healthcare. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to manage multiple NIH-funded studies within one of HEALs Cores: Addiction Health Services Research (AHSR). The mission of AHSR is to work with government agencies and community partners to improve the quality of care for individuals with addiction. We use sophisticated analyses of large administrative data, qualitative data collection, and randomized trials of interventions targeting organizations to improve the effectiveness of clinical practices while addressing issues of race/ethnicity, gender, social determinants, and their intersections.

- Works closely with the PI and the program director to ensure research priorities and deliverables are achieved.
- Provides operational leadership for 3-4 major research studies simultaneously. Develops and maintains a system for management of a multi-grant portfolio to ensure successful integration between projects.
- Manages the coordination and completion of project activities on time, setting deadlines, assigning and tracking responsibilities, and monitoring and summarizing the progress of project.
- Prepares and provides reports to all necessary parties (e.g., the principal investigator, sponsoring agency, etc.) on the progress of the study as needed
- Organizes and leads regular project meetings.
- Maintains awareness of study regulatory status and keeps an up to date copy of regulatory documents. Develops and oversees submission of necessary IRB documents, including follow-up with study staff to obtain appropriate paperwork and information, and completion of continuation paperwork.
- Monitors recruitment and data collection for research studies; follows-up with research staff to understand factors associated with success or difficulty in recruitment and project completion.
- Assists with data analysis, data management, and manuscript drafting, in conjunction with study PIs and Co-Investigators. Audits and manages study data Prepares forms and reports, compiles and analyses data, statistics, and other materials for reports.
- Contributes to strategic planning to support continued growth of the Lab
- Works with State and other partners to achieve shared goals and inform policies for substance use disorder treatment
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Education
Bachelors Degree Required. Masters Degree strongly preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience coordinating clinical/research projects involving both quantitative and qualitative components.
Proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, and Outlook.
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills.
Ability to interface effectively with all levels of management; must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external parties.
Ability to work within a team environment and independently with limited supervisory oversight.
Excellent time management skills and demonstrated ability to organize complex tasks to meet deadlines.
Strong interpersonal and organization skills, outstanding judgment, initiative, and attention to detail.

Masters degree strongly preferred.
Training in advanced statistical methods.
Ability to translate complex data topics into actionable tasks across multiple projects.
Demonstrated experience coordinating successful partnerships with outside partners and/or government entities.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $81,325.15 - $94,500.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
