Introduction
These seasonal Program Aide positions will directly support the City of New Haven's Parks Department and its peak season operations. The work will require evening and weekend hours, and will be under the direct supervision of Parks Dept. Full-Time Parks Administrative staff, Parks Maintenance staff, as well as Senior Seasonal staff and under the programmatic supervision of the Parks Dept. These employees shall be responsible for working with Park staff as assigned in the following areas:

Seasonal position, up to 40 hours per week, not to exceed 120 calendar days.
Hours of operation for Lighthouse Park are typically sunrise to sunset. As such, hours of work will vary, and shifts will include early mornings, evenings, holidays, and weekends. TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE Recent high school graduate, experience in customer service, maintenance-related work including custodial/janitorial cleaning service work, municipal parks work which provided the following knowledge, abilities and skills:

SALARY, BARGAINING UNIT & TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT This "Non Tested" position may be General or Special Funds.
This seasonal position is not eligible to receive medical benefits, vacation pay, sick pay, union membership, or union contractual benefits. Any period of seasonal employment will not be construed in any way to mean probationary employment. Persons may not be employed in two concurrent positions with the City and/or the Board of Education at the same time.
