Summary

The Sr. Analyst, Finance Operations & Project Management will work to track, status, and manage initiatives within Finance and between Finance and other organizations to deliver results. This candidate will be responsible for tracking and providing results on financial and operational strategies to ensure the achievement of the business plans and objectives. This role includes project activities across both USA and International and will have frequent interactions with defense executives based on the nature of the projects. Limited travel is expected.

  • Leverage an agile and innovative mindset to lead cross-functional projects to help scale and mature the financial organization.

  • Evaluate and establish best practices and procedures to drive operational excellence.

  • Help Identify knowledge gaps and training needs for individuals and groups and provide guidance and help to close gaps.

  • Identify, evaluate, and resolve complex business challenges in a collaborative manner through cross-functional business teams.

  • Create a culture of excellence and high performance; drives the finance team to excel at delivering on key commitments.

  • Work with data teams to track and communicate results on key metrics used to drive business (OKRs)

  • Work key process mapping to create consistency amongst teams in similar organizations

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience on a progressive career growth path, with much of that time in a financial management position.

  • Experience in rapid growth technology markets, with emphasis on the U.S. defense industry, both domestic and international.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting. An MBA is desirable.

  • Ability to multi-task with a high degree of versatility and flexibility.

  • Experience with Cognos and Costpoint a plus.

  • Strong conceptual and business analytical skills.

  • Broad range of financial experience to include budgeting, FP&A and program finance.

  • Ability to prioritize and produce superior results under deadline pressure.

  • Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

  • Articulate, persuasive, and able to build confidence with the financial staff, the executive management team, business unit managers, and the financial/investment community.

  • The candidate should offer a good balance of risk-taking and judgment, and be aggressive, entrepreneurial, self-confident, and decisive.

  • Enthusiastic, energetic, and self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a willingness to learn and collaborate with others.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate - verbal & written - at all levels of the organization.

  • Possess excellent leadership qualities and have demonstrated strong project management skills.

  • Strong analytical and planning skills with vision beyond the task at hand

  • Results oriented.

  • A professional of unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character who has demonstrated high moral and ethical behavior.

Security Responsibilities

Must complywith all company security and data protection / usage policies and procedures. Personally responsible for proper marking and handling of all information and materials, in any form. Shall not divulge any information, or afford access, to other employees not having a need-to-know. Shall not divulge information outside company without management approval. All government and proprietary information will be accessed and stored electronically on company provided resources.

  • Incumbent must be eligible for DoD Personal Security Clearance.

Due to U.S. Government contract requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for this role.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines. Must be able to perform in an in office setting as well as a remote setting with little oversight

  • Frequent Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing and walking.

  • Shifts and/or schedules may change throughout the year as dictated by management and business needs

  • Extended working hours may be required as dictated by management and business needs
