Maintains and improves all equipment used in manufacturing at our food roasting and packaging facility. Troubleshoots mechanical, electrical, and process issues. Understand importance of root cause analysis and practices continuous improvement. Must be an active believer in safety and subscribe to Meijer safety programs.

What You'll be Doing:

  • Support all aspects of maintenance in our typically 4 day, 10-hour food production facility.
  • Set the example of a leader in terms of a safe workplace at all times.
  • Participate closely with other departments with an end goal of improved plant safety, performance and quality.
  • Perform routine and emergency maintenance (major and minor) of systems in multi-craft environment including PLC, instrumentation, mechanical and general equipment repair.
  • Responsible for Preventative Maintenance (PM) and work order completion in a timely manner.
  • Preform other duties as required by Maintenance and Production Leadership.

What You Bring with You (Qualifications):

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • Certification/correlated documentation in a related maintenance technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment showing growth.
  • Previous maintenance experience in a food manufacturing setting is preferred. Ideally with a working knowledge of SQF and GMP's in a food manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of general mechanical systems.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of troubleshooting, comprehension and operational experience.
  • Ability and desire to work well with others towards a common goal.
