As a Management Consulting Supervisor for the CFO Advisory team at RSM, you will work with businesses in diverse industries while managing staff to deliver projects on time, on budget and in line with client expectations. Working on numerous projects per year, you will not only work on delivering the projects and developing the staff, but also identify new opportunities to gain more work with each client. Your previous experience will enable you to pursue, close and execute services such as finance strategy, operating model design, finance technology deployments, finance assessments, and business/finance transformation, including the alignment and enablement of necessary and appropriate technologies and automation.All engagements will require your leadership and guidance while managing teams deployed, delivering quality, and ensuring the optimal client experience. You will be responsible for relationship building and client management on and off-site, staff supervision/coaching, and operations & risk management, while serving our key markets and industries across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Project Execution: Assist in optimizing all elements of the finance organization, including finance assessment, target operating model definition, business process improvement, enterprise transformation, and finance technology enablement and deployment.
  • Finance Function Expertise: Demonstrate a fundamental understanding of finance and accounting functions and the people, processes, and technology components that support them, such as Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, Source to Report, Acquire to Retire, and Forecasting & Planning.
  • Quality Delivery: Deliver high-quality work within expected timeframes, scope, budgets, and client expectations.
  • Digital Delivery: Leveraging digital skillsets - e.g. experience with visualization tools like PowerBI, Tableau as well as automation technologies such as Alteryx, continue to focus on modernizing our service delivery model within Management Consulting through the digitization of our service offerings.
  • Project Monitoring: Monitor project progress, manage risk, and ensure project teams and clients are informed about key milestones, engagement progress, and expected outcomes.
  • Business Development: Actively participate in internal and external business development activities and networking.
  • Cross-Selling: Understand firm capabilities across lines of business to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  • Financial Preparation: Assist in preparing engagement/project financials and interpret and convey impacts to firm leadership.
  • Industry Research: Identify industry focus areas, assist with industry research, and support prospect and existing client targeting activities.
  • Project Oversight: Oversee and drive individual projects to completion, identifying opportunities and solutions to client challenges.
  • Service Development: Assist in developing new service offerings, innovative solutions, and deliverables for the rapidly changing finance environment and market.
  • Mentorship: Effectively manage, coach, and develop junior resource s and peers by providing timely and actionable feedback, as well as recruitment and retention efforts.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively both internally and externally with client employees, C-suite executives and/or private equity partners to develop and foster client relationships.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Minimum 6 years' experience working in a large organization, professional services firm or CPA firm
  • 2 yrs. experience leading and managing project teams
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
  • Executive presence and an understanding of stakeholder / client relationship management
  • Ability to travel > 50 % locally and internationally
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven skills as a team member, team lead or project manager on at least one full life cycle implementation
  • Experience in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining support procedures, and implementing practical business solutions under multiple deadlines
  • Experience in the development of teams and staff
  • Committed to gaining exposure to multiple industries
  • History of collaborating with clients and other professional services areas
  • Industry or profession focused certification (i.e. Six Sigma / CPA, PMP)

At RSM, an employee's pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.

Compensation Range: $91,200 - $172,700

Individualsselected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
