Occupational Therapist

Part Time - 0.5 FTE

Day Shift - Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (20 hours/week)

Full-time hours available if candidate is willing to split time between JE and the Western coverage area for Central Iowa (Dallas Center, Minburn, Adel).

Responsibilities
  • Provide Home Health Occupational Therapy Services - Conduct in-home visits to assess patients' functional levels, develop treatment plans based on physician orders, and deliver skilled therapy interventions to improve patient outcomes.

  • Develop and Implement Treatment Plans - Create individualized therapy plans, incorporating functional activities, environmental modifications, and assistive devices to enhance patients' independence and quality of life.

  • Ensure Quality and Compliance - Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain safe, effective therapy practices in alignment with clinical best practices and home health regulations.


Qualifications
  • Licensed or otherwise regulated, if applicable, as an Occupational Therapist by the state in which practicing, unless licensure does not apply in the practicing state.
  • Graduate of an occupational Therapist education program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Occupational Therapy Education (ACOTE) of the American Occupational Therapy Association, Inc. (AOTA), or successor organizations of ACOTE
  • Eligible to take, or has successfully completed the entry-level certification examination for Occupational Therapists developed and administered by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy, Inc. (NBCOT)
  • One year experience caring for similar patient population as to be assigned
  • Valid licensed driver with automobile insurance in accordance with state(s) and/or organizational requirements.
  • CPR: Maintain a valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider Card with Re-certification.
