Responsibilities

Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP is seeking a litigation attorney to fill a unique role with split responsibilities, which will include: (i) making significant non-billable contributions to our litigation training program and working directly with our NY-based partner who leads our program, and (ii) working with our litigation teams to perform billable general litigation projects for our clients. The total time commitment between both of these roles will be less than the time commitment expected of our partner-track litigation associates.

The Career Associate filling this role will ideally have 7+ years of civil litigation experience and will join our Litigation Business Unit in the New York Office. This position will require in office presence of three days per week on average.

Our Career Associate program offers top legal talent an alternative to the partner track while still providing opportunities to do cutting-edge and deeply substantive legal work. Lawyers join us as Career Associates at many stages, from recent graduates to more senior lawyers who join after practicing in other settings. These are rewarding roles if you share our passion for practicing law and delivering excellent service but seek a lower annual time commitment.
