Service Line Supervisor (Neurosciences)

The Neurosciences Service Line at University of Minnesota Physicians offers a wide range of services as well as the most effective treatments, including procedures, pre-hab and neurologic testing, for a variety of conditions such as chronic pain management, spinal cord injury, concussion, post covid, stroke and spine care in specialties of Neuropsychology, Physiatry (PM & R) and Pain Management. Our Neurosciences team, in combination with our specialized providers, nurses, pharmacists, dedicated programs and facilities, makes a comprehensive treatment plan for our patients. From a comprehensive intake to in-clinic procedures to planning next steps, our team members are trained to facilitate the best experience for our patients.

What you will do as a Service Line Supervisor:

• Supervises staff and oversees day to day operations
• Acts as a working supervisor: works along side staff
• Actively supports the recruitment, orientation, and promotes the engagement of all staff
• Accountable for initial and ongoing competencies for staff
• Ensures effective and time communication of relevant information as appropriate
• Provides guidance to ensure performance management aspects such as mentoring, coaching, individual development etc. are in place and holds staff accountable to expectations
• Provides leadership and overall coordination to accomplish the implementation of special projects.
• Works with team members to establish clear, precise implementation plan, including goals, objectives and timeframes
• Partners with Service Line Leadership to support strategy deployment activities
• Assists with Performance Dimension leaders as needed
• Supports leadership by providing onsite support, direction, and backup to the care team
• Assists in planning, coordinating and facilitating of meetings; prepares and distributes materials necessary for meetings; attend specified meetings and takes minutes to ensure accurate records of meeting are available
• Collaborates with leadership to help collect data through use of reporting in order to analyze, forecast, plan and direct clinic operations
• Practices as a financial steward; provides input as appropriate related to clinic budget
• Performs appropriate due diligence to resolve patient and staff concerns

What you will need:

• One of the following: NREMT & MN EMT certification OR Medical Assisting Diploma from a CHEA/CAAHEP accredited program (CMA or RMA preferred) OR active Minnesota Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) license
• Minimum 1 years of supervisory or demonstrated leadership (Lead) experience along with clinical rooming experience

Hours: 40 hours/week
