Position Summary The IP PSL will monitor developments in the legal and business environment, in order to keep both the IP Practice and its clients up to date and identify areas to develop the Firm's reputation and practice; provide legal and practical expertise to support the practice, both through responding to lawyer queries and through the mentoring of junior lawyers; help to create, develop and manage the Group's collection of precedents and research materials; organize and deliver Group training; work with IP Practice lawyers and the IP Business Development team to identify opportunities to develop business from new and existing clients, including assistance with implementing and maintaining docket and client monitoring processes; and provide other support as needed. The individual will ideally have been exposed to the practice of intellectual property law across functions (litigation and transactional support) and across subareas (patent, trade secrets, copyright / trademark) to have a working knowledge of these disciplines and be familiar with the documentation and issues.
