Pay From:
$50 per hour

MUST:

Experienced Chief Building Engineer

Must have 3 plus years of experience as a Building Engineer

Must have 1 plus year experience of managing over engineer staff

Must have an active DC Steam Fitter license

Must understand and comply with DC CCRC regulations

Experience working in a Healthcare industry is a plus

First- Class Chief Engineer licensure is highly preferred

DUTIES:

Building Engineer will be responsible for but not limited to the following:

Operates and monitors the boiler room and HVAC equipment per manufacturers' specifications so as to minimize down time, avoid inconvenience to in-house customers and extend the life expectancy of the equipment

Reads meters and gages to verify operation conditions

Adjusts manual controls or overrides automatic controls as required

Maintains equipment room log books

Makes rounds to equipment rooms daily to ensure proper functioning equipment

Visually inspects equipment to detect malfunctions or need for repair, adjustment or lubrication

Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs equipment and components to ensure continuous equipment operation

Repairs equipment by interpreting schematics or equipment manuals to successful completion

Creates parts orders with all necessary ordering information to successfully repair facility equipment

Other Duties as required
