Position Summary:The Accounting Analyst - Pharmaceutical is responsible for supporting accounting and reporting functions related to Pharmaceutical Receivable balances through ongoing analysis and reporting of Accounts Receivable balances. This role involves gathering and interpreting financial information effectively and forming data into meaningful and concise analyses while considering a broad range of interdependent issues. The analyst identifies areas for change, makes decisions based on given autonomy agreed in the standard routines, and makes data-driven decisions and/or recommendations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform ongoing reconciliations between SAP and external third-party supplier system of pharmaceutical receivable balance.
  • Analyze reporting of third-party provider data to identify customer deduction resolution and make recommendations for adjusting entries.
  • Prepare and execute journal entries in SAP to correspond with entries in third-party supplier system.
  • Review, analyze, and report on the various components of Accounts Receivable balances including DSO and monthly scorecards. Adapt reporting to address changes in the business and provide product level clarity as needed.
  • Monitor Pharma bank account for customer deposits, post incoming payments, perform daily bank reconciliation, and post bank adjustments.
  • Work closely with Pharma Finance team, Customer Service, and third-party provider to reconcile balances and resolve inconsistencies between systems.
  • Support Pharma AR processes related to new integrations and other special projects and duties as identified.

Requirements and Minimum Education Level:

  • Finance or Accounting Degree required; CPA preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in accounting and reporting.
  • Work experience within the Credit field desirable.
  • Experience with accounts receivable systems preferred.
  • AR and GL experience required.

  • Ability to work in a team-based environment and interact cooperatively with internal and external customers.
  • Effective problem-solving skills and obtaining timely resolutions.
  • Apply good judgment and professional integrity in decision making.
