Job Description

Position Overview: Jefferson Washington Township is seeking a skilled and dedicated Nocturnist to join our team. Key Details:

  • Patients per Night: 5-10 admissions per night, with responsibility for managing floor issues.

  • APP Assistance: Two Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) are available to assist with non-teaching patients, alongside three house staff for teaching patients.

    Shift Hours: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Flexible scheduling options available.

  • Respond to codes and Rapid Response Team (RRT) calls. While the ICU is closed, a critical care fellow is always on-site to manage ICU operations. Assist with minor procedures such as IV placement (if nursing is unable) and nasogastric feeding tube placement. Oversee house staff physicians on general floors.
