Wieland is hiring a CNC Programer. The CNC Programer will be responsible forplanning the numerical control program to facilitate the machining of parts on CNC mills and lathes using MasterCam. Responsible for researching tools and working directly with engineers to save costs, yet maintain quality in an ISO compliant environment. This role is located in Lake Zurich, IL and will be fully on-site.

Starting Pay: $30/hour

Schedule: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm

Pay Schedule: Weekly

CNC Programmer Responsibilities:

* Modify existing CNC machining programs to standardize and improve processes, working from work orders, routers, prints, program file SPC procedures, job procedures, machine manuals and instructions.
* Investigate program procedural problems performing a Root Cause Analysis and recommend and implement corrective action.
* Design tools and fixtures as necessary to meet machining needs and to improve existing and for new operations.
* Select and load program during initial testing, make modification to program and make necessary machine feed, speed and axis point adjustments while maintaining compliance to ISO 9001 standards. Ensure that all changes made at the machine are written into the program.
* Troubleshoot problems, respond to alarm, retrace program to locate problem and make necessary corrections and updating documentation as required by the Quality Management System (MMS). May involve other engineers, as needed.
* Write tooling requests for new or modified products.
* Document and record changes to programs and/or processes.
* Measure using micrometers, dial bore gauges, groove gauges, groove micrometers, height gauges, and depth gauges to verify products are manufactured as per blueprint specifications to test developed CNC programs.
* Keep abreast of changing technologies in the field.
* Knowledge of manufacturing tooling and processes.
* Assist in maintaining tool room with Manufacturing Supervisor.

CNC Programmer Qualifications:

* High school diploma or GED required
* Prior manufacturing experience in a job shop required
* Prior close tolerance machining experience
* Minimum 2 years MasterCam experience
* Minimum 2 years Solidworks experience
* Minimum of 3 years prior set up experience with programming and troubleshooting knowledge -or- a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering with 2 years in a CNC apprenticeship program
