Symetra Investment Management has an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Derivatives Strategist Intern!

Symetra's Internship Program for Summer 2025 is entirely remote - all interns will learn and work in a virtual setting. The internship duration is 12 weeks.

Your responsibilities may include



  • Developing equities, rates, and FX derivatives pricing models
  • Analyze equities, rates derivatives trading, and hedging strategies
  • Automate analytical tools for trading decision-making coding in Python and SQL



Your education, experience, and skills



  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science with Quantitative Finance exposure through coursework OR a Quantitative Finance major
  • Experience programming in Python and SQL Database
  • Willingness to learn
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
