Job Description

We are looking for a Staff Cloud Support Engineer to join our innovative team as we expand our Infinia Next Gen Software Defined Storage (SDS) offerings across major cloud platforms, including GCP, OCI, AWS, and Azure. This role will involve supporting and optimizing multi-cloud deployments, ensuring seamless operation of SDS solutions across various protocols, including S3, NFS, Parallel File Systems, CSI, Cinder, Hadoop, and Spark.

As a Staff Cloud Support Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, leading complex troubleshooting, and collaborating with both internal teams and cloud vendors to deliver exceptional service to global customers across US, EMEA, and APAC time zones.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

    Provide expert-level support for multi-cloud SDS deployments.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues related to client protocols like S3, NFS, Parallel File Systems, CSI, Cinder, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Lead root cause analysis and recommend proactive solutions for recurring issues.

Cloud Platform Operations:

  • Manage and support SDS integrations with cloud platforms (GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure).
  • Optimize configurations to enhance performance, scalability, and availability.

Collaboration and Vendor Engagement:

  • Collaborate with cloud vendors to address platform-specific challenges and optimize deployments.
  • Work closely with internal development and DevOps teams to refine and enhance SDS capabilities.

Monitoring and Automation:

  • Implement monitoring tools to proactively identify and mitigate potential issues.
  • Develop automation scripts for repetitive tasks, including deployment and troubleshooting.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Maintain and update technical documentation for SDS deployments and cloud integrations.
  • Mentor junior engineers and share best practices for managing multi-cloud environments.

Multi-Cloud Strategy:

  • Contribute to expanding SDS solutions across additional cloud platforms.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and cloud provider policies.

Qualifications:

Technical Skills:

  • Strong expertise in storage protocols such as S3, NFS, Parallel File Systems, CSI, Cinder.
  • Familiarity with big data frameworks like Hadoop and Spark.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing workloads on cloud platforms like GCP, OCI, AWS, Azure.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration tools.
  • Scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Terraform, etc.).
  • Deep understanding of cloud networking and security principles.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple time zones in a 24/7 support model.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ideal Years of Experience: 8-10 years
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator).
  • Experience with multi-cloud monitoring tools and DevOps workflows.
  • Familiarity with high-performance storage systems and distributed environments.

If you clear the interview, you will enter the main process, which can consist of up to four interviews in total:

  • Coding assessment: Often in a language of your choice.
  • Systems design: Translate high-level requirements into a scalable, fault-tolerant service (depending on role).
  • Real-time problem-solving: Demonstrate practical skills in a live problem-solving session.
  • Meet and greet with the wider team.
  • Our goal is to finish the main process in 2-3 weeks at most.
