Job Summary Inspect, test and maintain various types of fixed fire systems, fixed gas systems, Aids-To-Navigation systems, firefighting & lifesaving equipment and suppression systems on offshore platforms, drilling rigs, MODUS and drill ships operating in the Gulf of Mexico. Responsibilities and Duties Performs inspections, calibrations, troubleshooting and repairs of fixed fire detection systems, fixed gas detection systems, suppression systems, fire extinguishers, lifesaving equipment and aids-to-navigation. Ensure respective system(s) are in good working order and in compliance with the most up to date regulatory standards. Provide customer and Acadian with all paperwork/documentation to satisfy governing authorities in a timely manner. Conducts pre-job and post job meeting with customer Perform basic maintenance and care of assigned company vehicle and/or assets. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 2 years offshore experience. Current Louisiana State Fire Marshal endorsement in fire extinguishers service and maintenance Valid driver's license from state of residence and valid proof of vehicle insurance. Proficiency in the care and use of all site specific, facility and customer required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). Be willing travel to customers site and available for travel for short and long-term out-of-town and/or offshore projects. Willing to submit and pass a drug and alcohol test Strong computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft excel and word Electrical and/or electronics background to include troubleshooting and wiring of relay logic Ability to operation Fluke multi-meter Interface with various fire systems through computer Ability to read SAFE chart, fire safety plan and schematics Research regulatory document for most recent requirements (API, NFPA, CFR, etc.) High school diploma or equivalency Trade school/vocational school a plus Job Type: Full-time Required education: High school or equivalent Required experience: CO2: 1 year Halon 1301: 1 year FM200: 1 year SCBA: 1 year Electrical: 1 year Fire Safety: 1 year Personal Protection Equipment: 1 year Fluke Multi-Meter: 1 year Fire Systems: 5 years Fixed Fire Systems: 5 years Offshore Fire Technican: 5 years Microsoft Word: 1 year Microsoft Excel: 1 year Fixed Gas Systems: 5 years Novec 1230: 1 year Electronics: 1 year Required licenses or certifications: SCBA Certification FEL-A FEL-B Lousiana Fire Marshal Endorsement Driver's License
