Job Description

Job Summary:
Performs secretarial and general office work under the general direction of management. Typically provides support to one department and reports to one department head. Types reports and correspondence and performs other clerical duties or tasks as required. This position includes, but is not limited to the following essential functions.

Essential Functions:
Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.

Assisting with staffing coordination of the Rehabilitation Medicine department, collecting/analyzing monthly statistics, quality improvement and other data collection

Departmental timekeeping and management of unscheduled time off.

General office duties and organization of the inpatient and/or outpatient department in the hospital and providing assistance to the Manager(s) and therapy staff.

Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the core values of the Hospital.

Education:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Graduate of Secretarial/ Business School preferred.
OR College-level coursework in accounting/ business administration.
AND
Experience:
Software training preferred

Minimum Certifications, Registration or License Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years recent secretarial experience required, preferably in an administrative or health care setting Must be able to use computer and the following software types: Word, Excel, Database, word processing, email. Telephone, and excellent interpersonal communication.
