Position Summary The Administrative Coordinator for the Hospital Program performs clerical duties to assist the Hospitalist Service. The Hospitalist Service is a large Clinical Medicine Service Department. The Administrative Coordinator also assists the clinical staff with Quality Assurance, Continuing Medical Education and other required activity record keeping. The Administrative Coordinator will perform the data entry and logging of Attendance and accrual usage for a large Clinical Service department. The incumbent will also provide assistance in conducting and documentation of Service Quality Assurance programs and/or projects and Continuing Medical Education programs that are held on-site and off-site. Continuing Medical Education and Quality Assurance tracking is essential to meet accreditation requirements for Clinical faculty for Continuing Medical Education attendance. This documentation reports to be included in hospital reappointment packages submitted to the Medical Staff department. The successful incumbent must have strong organizational and communication skills. The incumbent needs to possess excellent telephone skills. Answers and directs phone calls. Reviews mail, order all office supplies, responds to routine inquiries and refers more complex requests to appropriate staff members. Duties of this Administrative Coordinator may include the following but are not limited to:
Qualifications Required Qualifications: Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) or, in lieu of degree, a high school diploma with at least 2 full time years of related administrative experience. Proficient in Microsoft Suite including PowerPoint and Outlook. Preferred Qualifications: Associate's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) in business administration, or a related field. 2 or more years of full-time administrative assistant experience in an office setting. Knowledge of medical terminology. Special Notes: Resume/CV should be included with the online application. Posting Overview: This position will remain posted until filled or for a maximum of 90 days. Anticipated Pay Range: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $48,342 - $59,303 / year. The above salary range represents SBUH's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate's validated years of comparable experience.
