As part of the work to realign the Marketing Organization underneath the priorities set forth by our CMO, we are looking to fill a Director position on the Marketing Creative team. The focus of this role will be to work with Associate Vice President of Creative Marketing and Marketing Activation partners to execute campaigns for national and local initiatives, supporting all segments across Verizon Business Group

What you'll be doing:
  • Driving creative and messaging consistency from a 360 consumer engagement touchpoint perspective within and outside the marketing organization.

  • Managing messaging/comms needs in the traditional and digital spectrum across our portfolio of network, wireless, and emerging technology services.

  • Managing strategic creative development, planning, and management of creative from ideation through execution.

  • Leading the development and execution of world class creative in new/different ways, inclusive of both traditional and digital creative.

  • Driving communications strategy development based on insights that are grounded in consumer and competitive intelligence.

  • Participating and being the voice that represents the Creative Marketing discipline in a cross functional process that drives innovation and culture shaping ideas attached to our brand.

  • Creating demand across the entire product portfolio of traditional and new products, services, and accessories in the area of network services, wireless services, and emerging technologies.

  • Managing the creative vision for world class break-through advertising that leverages a unified strategy for a fully integrated execution.

  • Managing the creative, production, and execution process for advertising materials in the digital spectrum by working effectively with external agencies.

  • Developing partnerships with the Marketing Activation team, business units, and the internal marketing organization to ensure project timelines and deliverables are completed and evaluated.

  • Working directly with Verizon legal to secure legal approval on all advertising materials and communicate any feedback to advertising agencies and internal teams.

  • Managing production budgets for all advertising executions and ensuring billing and accrual accuracy with internal finance team and advertising agencies.

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Ten or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Ten or more years of professional experience in marketing or related communications field.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:
  • Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Communications or Marketing.

  • Master's degree in a related field.

  • Project leadership and management skills for the consistent execution of campaigns across disciplines like ATL/BTL Media, Social, .com, Experiential, and more, as well as experience leading a team in support of these goals.

  • B2B Advertising/Marketing Experience.

  • Six or more years of wireless experience and understanding of wireless industry trends and key business drivers.

  • Six or more years of experience in digital, media, and communications planning.

  • Six or more years of experience in segmentation communications planning.

  • Experience in creating and increasing demand for a portfolio of products and services.

  • Organizational, interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication, and negotiation skills.

  • Willingness to perform executive communication via Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

  • Willingness to engage and influence large teams and functional leaders.

  • Willingness to meet deadlines, complete important time sensitive tasks, adapt quickly to last minute changes, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Willingness to work under pressure, on multiple assignments, with strong attention to detail.

  • Willingness to bring teams with differing opinions to a common place by identifying common ground and negotiation.

  • Experience working with multi-cultural advertising.

  • Knowledge of creative production process (TV, Radio, Print, Digital, OOH).

  • Advertising agency experience or experience managing an agency.

Where you'll be working

For part-timers, your coverage will vary as you may be eligible for some of these benefits depending on your individual circumstances. If you are hired into a California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Nevada, New York, Rhode Island, Washington or Washington, D.C. work location, the compensation range for this position is between $131,000.00 and $243,000.00 annually based on a full-time schedule. The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
