About the Job

This position supports the Post-Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) program at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. The position is housed in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) and reports to the Operations Manager.

This is a full-time temporary position with an anticipated start date of February 10 and end date of May 13. Working hours are Monday through Friday 8:00am-4:30pm CST. This position offers a flexible work arrangement as it has the opportunity to be partially hybrid in the working location.

Main Responsibilities

  1. PSEO admissions management and processing (80%)
    1. Process applications in an Access database
    2. Review application documents for completeness and accuracy
    3. Review transcripts
    4. Conduct GPA recalculation
    5. Communicate with applicants about issues regarding their application
    6. Respond to questions about the application process
    7. Send weekly mass email reminders for incomplete applications
    8. Identify and resolve issues related to student application data
  2. Student/program support and student records (20%)
    1. Provide program operations and administrative support
    2. Serve as the first point of contact for PSEO. Exhibit an exceptional level of customer service while maintaining a high degree of professionalism.
    3. Deliver accurate and detailed PSEO program information, and answer a variety of student/program questions via phone and email
    4. Appropriately refer complex and escalated questions as needed
    5. Process and maintain student files, forms, and records
    6. Manage student decline and defer requests
Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • Two year Associate's degree and two years of office and administrative experience or High School Diploma/GED and four years of related office and administrative experience. Training/education may be substituted for some of the years of experience.
  • Demonstrated written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to use office software and collaboration tools such as Microsoft Office software, Google Collaboration Tools, and Zoom.
  • Organizational skills and the ability to learn new tasks, remember processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, and make timely decisions in the context of a workflow.
  • Ability to work at the Twin Cities campus office, when required.
  • Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment such as computers, cameras, microphones, and keyboards.
  • Demonstrated commitment to inclusive excellence and serving a diverse community of learners in a professional setting.

Pay and Benefits

Pay Range: $23.00-$25.00/hour; depending on education/qualifications/experience.
